Two emo overlords have joined forces in a manner that can only be described as biblical. Chris Carraba-led emo stalwarts Dashboard Confessional performed at London’s St Pancras Old Church last night (November 14th). During the performance, he was joined by Matty Healy for a performance of The 1975’s modern classic, ‘Sex’.

Dashboard Confessional offered their take of the track on their 2017 covers EP, Covered and Taped — it’s a bloody delight to see their interpretation performed with Healy. Check out footage of the performance below.

We’re not sure when it happened, but Matty Healy has truly cemented his status as the leading figurehead of emo. In a recent interview with Nick Grimshaw on Radio 1, the frontman expressed his anxiety of having his emo crown snatched by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way.

“I’m not too happy about him [Way] coming back for his emo lord crown once I’ve announced myself as quite overtly being that. He’s gonna come back and try and claim it isn’t he? Emo grandad more like Gerard, thank you, off you pop,” he joked.
