Twenty One Pilots have paid tribute to musical royalty while over in England, covering an Oasis classic at the iconic Reading Festival this weekend.

No matter how you look at it, Twenty One Pilots are one band whose success is something to be admired. From breaking records on the Billboard charts, to having every song from two albums certified Gold, and having the most-streamed album by a band ever, they’re huge news wherever they go.

However, it seems as though sometimes the duo are themselves a little overwhelmed at their success. After all, who would have thought when they first formed a decade ago they would find themselves in this position so many years later?

Performing at the Reading Festival on Saturday night, the Ohio duo took the time during their set to thank all of their fans at the iconic festival, before dipping into a cover of Oasis’ ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’.

“We wanna thank you as a couple of Americans. Thanks for letting us come across the pond and play at your festival,” Tyler Joseph explained to the massive crowd before playing the cover.

“We have such a deep respect for your musical culture, your festival culture over here. For you to let us be a part of that, it really means a lot to us,” he added. “So this next one I dedicate to you as a thank you.”

Performing the song one day short of the 19th anniversary of Oasis’ stint as a headline act the same festival, Tyler Joseph sat behind the piano while he delivered a gorgeous rendition of the classic track, leading a massive singalong in the process.

Needless to say, if you weren’t crying during the altered line of “please don’t put your life in the hands of a two-piece band,” then were you really paying attention?
