Troye Sivan has shared a new version of his single ‘Easy’.
While the original is an uplifting banger, this new version is entirely different take. Slathering the song in reverb and slowing it down, Sivan has given us a dreamy, misty-eyed version of the single. There’s big ’80s vibes coming off this one.
‘Easy’ was first released earlier this month. The music video found Sivan branching out creatively, sitting in the director’s chair for the first time.
‘Easy’ is the next taste of Sivan’s upcoming In A Dream EP. ‘Take Yourself Home’ was the first single, which came to us all the way back in April. Doesn’t time crawl slowly when the world’s upside-down and you’re in the middle of a pandemic?
Producer Oscar Görres — who goes by the name OzGo — is at the helm of both tracks.
Speaking about the In A Dream EP, Sivan says: “[T]his small collection of songs explores an emotional rollercoaster period in my life when the feelings and thoughts were most shockingly fresh.
“Revisiting these songs and moments is tough, but I’m proud of this music and excited to have it out in the world.”
Fans won’t have to wait too much longer for the In A Dream EP. If all goes well, it’s out August 21st via Universal Australia.
If you need any more proof that Sivan is already a bona fide pop icon, look no further. Back in February, it was announced that a Troye Sivan wax figure would be joining the squad of icons at Madame Tussauds Sydney.
“I am incredibly honoured to be receiving my very own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Sydney! To be joining the family alongside so many amazing celebrities and so many of my idols is an absolute dream come true for me and I still can’t quite believe this is happening,” Sivan said in a statement.
