Snapchat has today announced that users will now be able to jazz up their Snaps with a brand new feature that allows users to add music to posts – pre or post-capture.
According to the hugely popular photo-sharing platform, iOS users will now be able to pick tunes from major catalogue of bangers for your fave artists to include with their snaps.
When you receive a Snap with Sounds, you can now swipe up to view the album art, song title, and name of the artist. A “Play This Song” link then lets you listen to the full song on your favourite streaming platform, whether it’s Spotify, Apple Music, or SoundCloud.
Beyond music, Snapchat revealed they’ll also be testing a feature which allows Snapchatters to create their own sounds and add them to Snaps, with the feature set to roll out globally in the coming months.
Oh but that’s not all – Snapchat have also locked an exclusive that allows Beliebers to check out Justin Bieber and benny blanco’s new song ‘Lonely’, which will be a featured as an exclusive in Snapchat’s Featured Sounds list today.
Snapchatters will be able to create ~artistic~ Snaps with the new tune, share it with their mates, and even save the link to download the full song when it’s available on their favourite streaming platform.
