On December 20th, My Chemical Romance will conquer the stage of Shrine Auditorium and Hall in Los Angeles. The show is destined to be the comeback show to end all comeback shows. To witness the bands first show in seven years would truly be a transcendental experience.
Whilst a 6,700 cap venue is no small feat, My Chem are no small band. Unfortunately, swathes of devoted fans missed out on tickets to the spectacle. So they’ve responded in the most appropriate way imaginable, by threatening to Naruto storm the venue. A Facebook event has surfaced, stoically titled “Storm My Chemical Romance Reunion, They Can’t Stop All of Us!”. Honestly, we support it.
“!WE ARE NOT OK!,” the mission statement begins.
“Many of us have been waiting for years…finally My Chemical Romance is back together….we waited online for the start of the tickets sales….. and none of us got tickets!?!?! Honey, This venue isn’t big enough for all of us?!?!
“Screw AXS, Ticket Bots, and the smallest venue in LA! Black your eyes, throw on your hoodie with the thumb holes, and come out to form a black parade to storm the show!”
Honestly, this is the kind of misfit chutzpah that we think Gerard Way would support wholeheartedly.
The instructions for the raid are simple: “Meet across the street at McCarthy Quad Park (right across from the Shrine Auditorium Gates.
“Killjoys, Lets make some noise!”
If you want to get involved in the raid, you can head here.
Thankfully, it won’t be such a mad scramble for Australian fans to get to see My Chem. The band will be heading down under next year as exclusive headliners for Download Festival. You can find all the details below.
