My Chemical Romance fans far and wide seem to have been indulging in a blissful throwback this week. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge has entered the Billboard 200 chart sixteen years after its release.

The landmark emo odyssey has re-entered the charts on more than one occasion in years past. Back in March 2019, it surfaced at Number 191 on the Billboard 200. This re-entry fell close to March 22nd — the fateful day that the band announced their break up in 2013.

It’s not clear what caused the re-rock up this time around. We’re mere weeks away from the anniversary of the band announcing their return – perhaps the celebrations have begun early?

Whilst we’re opting for a more celebratory theory, it has been speculated that fans are, collectively, going through it.
