Justin Bieber fans, get ready: the Canadian superstar has teased new music coming out next week after posting mysterious tweets.

The star launched a countdown yesterday (Friday, September 11th), with the simple but cryptic tweet “ONE WEEK”. He also added a link to a newly-created website jbsoon.com, which allows fans to pre-save an upcoming song via streaming services.

It’s led to wild speculation from ‘Bielebers’. Is it a one-off single? Is it a hint of a full album? Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun also sent his own teasing tweet, adding the hashtag “#newerabegins”.

Clues to this new era for Bieber came in a long Instagram post made just last week: “I came from a small town in Stratford Ontario Canada. I didn’t have material things and was never motivated by money or fame I just loved music. But as I became a teenager I let my insecurities and frustrations dictate what I put my value in.

My values slowly started to change. Ego and power started to takeover and my relationships suffered because of it. I truly desire healthy relationships. I want to be motivated by truth and love. I want to be aware of my blind spots and learn from them!

I want to walk in the plans God has for me and not try and do it on my own! I want to give up my selfish desires daily so I can be a good husband and future dad! I’m grateful that I can walk with Jesus as he leads the way.”

It’s not been long since Bieber’s last album. His fifth studio album Changes came out in February and was a chart-topper in the UK and Billboard Hot 200. It also reached number two in the ARIA album chart.

Bieber was set to head out on a Changes North American tour. That’s had to be recently rescheduled due to the COVID-19 crisis. The US leg will now begin on June 2nd, 2021 in San Diego.
