We wiped away our tears last year as a little thing called COVID-19 managed to wipe out almost all live concerts but things are looking up for the future of live music with pop-punk band Yours Truly announcing an Aus tour this May.

The news dropped this morning and if your a resident of Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne (or willing to jump on a plane), then you’re in luck.

The Sydney based four piece have announced the following three tour dates.

Yours Truly Self Care Australian Tour 2021

Friday, May 14th
West Room, West End, QLD (18+)

Saturday, May 15th
Crowbar, Sydney, Leichhardt, NSW (18+)

Saturday, May 22nd
Howler, Melbourne, VIC (18+)

Tickets on sale now through Oztix

The pop punk sound of Yours Truly teamed with having Mikaila Delgado on vocals, who is the only female in the band, has drawn many comparisons to Paramore and Tonight Alive. However, the Australian four piece has struck deeper with their vulnerable lyrics that explored the complexities of mental health and validated the feelings of the misunderstood.

Yours Truly have truly broken onto the international scene, garnering air play on the likes of BBC Radio 1, triple j and Kerrang! as well as racking up more than 10 million streams.

The bands debut album Self Care dropped just last September and was widely well received. However, the album tour was put on hold due to the pandemic.

Yours Truly have supported some massive international pop punk names, paying alongside Sum 41, State Champs, We Are The Kings, Say Anything and Senses Fail.

In March this year they were named as one of Ticketmaster’s 10 Aussie artists to watch in 2021. They were also recognized by American Music Magazine, Alternative Press, as one of “12 Alternative projects fronted by Women with new music you need to hear”.

Of course, in this day and age it’s always handy to know what will happen should Coronavirus rear it’s ugly head again and throw all of our fun plans into disarray. Luckily, Oztix have a really flexible policy in which you will receive a refund if the show is cancelled due to COVID-19 or you have the option to hold on for a new date. You can read the full policy here.
