Adam Siska of The Academy Is… fame is giving away his Fender P-bass, which was given to him as a gift from Pete Wentz. This is the very bass featured in such cinematic masterpieces as Fall Out Boy‘s Dance Dance, and The Phrase That Pays by The Academy Is…

See if you can catch it in the video:

Siska is giving the bass away to a fan who donates to his Go Fund Me which has been established to raise money for the rebuild of his mum’s home, following the devastation of Hurricane Irma. Read his letter below:

With the loss of their homes, the future is very uncertain.  What we do know is that we cannot leave St. John.  This is our home.  We will rebuild, whatever it takes.  But it is going to take time, and it is going to take lots of money.

I know that $200,000 is a lofty goal.  But there has been so much damage that we must start over from scratch.  I do not expect to raise this money, but every single dollar that is donated helps us get closer to the life that we were heading towards before this storm came and changed everything.  Many people have reached out asking if there was any way that they could help.  This is the best and most efficent way I could come up with.  Please remember that every dollar helps and that our family is forever indebted to those who have been so supportive during this difficult time.

With nothing but love and graditude,
Your friend,

Everyone who donates is in with a chance to win the famed Fender P-bass, and Pete Wentz himself is on board to help spread the word.

Every dollar helps- you can find all the information and donate HERE.
