The 1975 have released yet another track from their upcoming record ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships‘. ‘Sincerity is Scary‘ debuted on the most recent instalment of Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show on Apple Music.

It’s a slow, jazz style tune, peppered with piano, smooth horns and beautiful choral backing vocals. The lounge-music vibe makes us feel like we’re walking into a fancy hotel lobby with a live band playing in the corner. It’s easy listening, and definitely a departure for the band. Check it out below:

The four tracks off ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’ released so far have been super sonically diverse; they’ve made it very hard to predict what the record is going to sound like in full. ‘Give Yourself A Try‘ was the first cab off the rank, alienating many with it’s ear-piercing beep-boops that play throughout the whole song.

‘Love It If We Made It’ is a throwback to their debut self-titled record. ‘TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME‘ is a piano-power-chord fuelled bop that’s easy to sing along to. It doesn’t add up, so we’re really not sure what this next release could be like.

‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’ drops November 30th.
