The last few months have been nothing short of a tumultuous ride for Panic! At The Disco fans worldwide. From the onslaught of cryptic hints and clues that prophesized the coming of Pray For The Wicked months ago, to the suspicious signs that popped up over the US yesterday and secret shows, to say the band have kept us on our toes is an understatement.
Now, after months of watching from afar, Australian Panic! fans will finally get a taste of 2018’s hype in the flesh. That’s right – Panic! are heading down under for a massive Australian arena tour this October.
The band last graced the country with their presence back in early 2017, hot off Death Of A Bachelor’s hype. The band are set to play some of the biggest venues the country has to offer – the last time Panic! played Sydney’s huge Qudos Bank Arena was back in 2008.
Considering that was ten years ago, its truly amazing to see the band transcend generations and continue to maintain integrity despite ever-changing trends in music – Panic! are a cultural phenomenon and we’re lucky to witness their constant dynamism.
Prey For The Wicked is set for a release in just under two weeks time on June 22nd. The band have previously released three singles including ‘(Fuck A) Silver Lining’, ‘Say Amen (Saturday Night)’, and ‘High Hopes’, so Aussie fans will definitely get a good taste of what the album has to offer live.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale on Tuesday, June 19th, with general public tickets seeing a release on Wednesday, June 20th at noon. We suggest snapping up your tickets ASAP as their last tour sold out pretty instantly.
The tour will start in Sydney and wrap up for a huge night in Melbourne – the band will be here for a week, which isn’t too much time to take off school/work to follow them around the country. Don’t say we’re not full of great ideas!
