It’s no secret that heavy eyeliner, black nail polish and My Chemical Romance go hand in hand, so it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that the band may soon be releasing their own makeup line.
The emo band posted a puzzling AF teaser on Twitter today which featured a video of a rose on fire that was simply captioned, “Eyes.”

Of course, no-one had any frigging clue what they were teasing until their PR team realized that they needed to chuck us some more breadcrumbs in order get the twitter-sphere tweeting like excited birds after some heavy morning rain.
Shortly after, Hip Dot Cosmetics stepped in to shed some more light on the situation by posting the same video accompanied by the caption, “Here’s a hint… COMING SOON.”

This post obviously sent the rumour mill into overdrive with eager (and probably heavily rimmed) eyed fans speculating a makeup collab.

My Chemical Romance has really been drumming up some action lately for the first time since, what seems like, 2006. It was announced yesterday that the emo band will be immortalized into Vinyl figurines.
However, it seems that fans are calling for more MCR and the band is simply answering their calls. A few months ago Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge had a resurgence when it randomly popped back onto the Billboard 200 charts, 16 years after its release.
Though most of us have hung up our emo backpacks, studded belts, and fishnets somewhere around 2006, the band actually broke up in 2013.
When announcing their separation lead vocalist Gerard Way released a long statement ending with, “My Chemical Romance is done. But it can never die. It is alive in me, in the guys, and it is alive inside all of you. I always knew that, and I think you did too. Because it’s not a band — it is an idea.”
Despite this, My Chemical Romance got back together for some reunion shows that began at the end of last year. Now it seems as though they’re taking a page out of Kylie Jenner’s book and foraying into the world of cosmetics. What a great *idea*!
