After taking some time to tour the world and grace audiences with their iconic and legacy-laden tunes, it looks like the Godfathers of pop punk, blink-182 are back in the studio once again.

Mark Hoppus has taken to Instagram to upload a trusty boomerang of Travis Barker flexing his one-of-a-kind drumming skills in the studio, working what will be blink’s first output since 2016’s California.

The image reads “New blink-182 songs, Day 1”, so, unfortunately, we probably won’t get to hear the fruit of the hook-writing genius’s labour for a while.

Travis also took to his Instagram story to upload an image of himself and Mark Hoppus together, however, Matt Skiba, the band’s current guitarist and second vocalist who famously replaced one of the band’s founders Tom DeLonge is absent.

Although Matt isn’t in the studio, he’s recently taken to Instagram to reveal he’s writing songs in Los Angeles where blink-182 have recorded and written for almost over 20 years now, so, it is likely he’s working on new tunes for the band.

If you were wondering whether Tom DeLonge would be making an appearance on the album, the chances are currently looking quite slim. Tom took to Instagram today to reveal that he would be “making music his priority again” however, the only band of his he tagged was Angels And Airwaves.
