1. ‘Physical’

Arguably one of the biggest entries in Dua Lipa’s catalogue in recent years, ‘Physical’ was the second single taken from Future Nostalgia, and easily one of the most exhilarating. Giving us major flashbacks to Olivia Newton-John’s song of the same name, even a brief listen of this one shows Dua Lipa at her powerful best.

2. ‘New Rules’

By the time that ‘New Rules’ came along in late 2017, diehards already knew that Dua Lipa meant business, but this was the one that turned her into a household name almost overnight. Slick, memorable, and featuring some huge words to live by, it’s barely a surprise that ‘New Rules’ would become her first chart-topping hit.

3. ‘Don’t Start Now’

The lead-up to 2020’s Future Nostalgia ironically started with a track called ‘Don’t Start Now’, with the nu-disco cut giving fans a taste of what to expect with album number two. A massive track that helped revive the long-dormant disco genre, it’s hardly a surprise this one nabbed three Grammy nominations, and gave Dua Lipa her highest-charting US single.

4. ‘IDGAF’

If folks thought ‘New Rules’ might’ve been a one-hit wonder, it didn’t take long for Dua Lipa to simply say ‘IDGAF’ and set them straight. Another massive single, lyrics of self-reliance and independence gave fans something to rally around, and proved Dua Lipa’s staying power as a pop powerhouse.

5. ‘Be The One’

It feels a bit weird to be in such a modern age of Dua Lipa and looking back a full six years to her second single, but you can’t have one without the other. A dreamy piece of power pop, ‘Be The One’ became her first official hit, charting in the top ten around the world and alerting music-lovers around the world to stand up and take notice of this astounding artist.

6. ‘One Kiss (Feat. Calvin Harris)’

A standalone single that arrived between albums, ‘One Kiss’ proves just how powerful it can be when you combine two of the word’s biggest names. Teaming up with Scottish producer Calvin Harris, ‘One Kiss’ was an instant classic, satiating fans’ appetites for pop hooks and stunning production.

7. ‘Break My Heart’

Pop lovers might’ve already adored Dua Lipa, but even some of the rockers got on board with ‘Break My Heart’, all thanks to the lead riff, which sounded pretty similar to INXS’ ‘Need You Tonight’. Crediting INXS members Andrew Farriss and the late Michael Hutchence as co-writers, it was a mix of the old and the new, and one that proved how powerful Dua Lipa’s reach truly is.

8. ‘Hotter Than Hell’

Tropical house might be a genre that’s been rising in popularity over the years, but if there’s one thing that Dua Lipa knows, it’s how to absolutely slay when it comes to making a killer tropical house tune. An irresistible banger that showed just how huge her first album was, there’s no denying that ‘Hotter Than Hell’ must have been named for how hot this tune truly is.

9. ‘Scared To Be Lonely (Feat. Martin Garrix)’

The first of many collabs for Dua Lipa, ‘Scared To Be Lonely’ saw her teaming up with Dutch DJ Martin Garrix to craft a song that laments the ending of a relationship. It might not have been the sort of chart-dominating anthem that she’s previously dished out, but it showed an intimate side of the artist, and one that we can’t get enough of.

10. ‘We’re Good’

Taken from the Moonlight Edition of Future Nostalgia, ‘We’re Good’ is the newest track on this list, and easily one of the most exciting. A powerful indicator of what Dua Lipa’s sound is evolving into, it’s hard to not admire her command of almost ever genre imaginable, proving that the world is Dua Lipa’s, we’re just living in it.
