After dazzling international audience’s and showering the world in ‘Adore’-induced hysterics, Amy Shark has announced the release of her upcoming debut album Love Monster, releasing it’s first single ‘I Said Hi’.

Earlier this week Amy took to Instagram and Twitter to send fans into serious speculation mode, teasing the drop of new music soon – well, today we’re blessed with the empowering grace of the alt-pop queen. Check out ‘I Said Hi’ below:

The track sees Amy look straight in the eye of adversity and overcome it – it’s the perfect culmination of Halsey’s sombre and melancholic atmospheres with Taylor Swift’s biting lyricism and soaring hooks. Cradled by simplistic, sticky guitar chords and a gigantic beat, the song is tailor-made for huge festival crowds and heart-string tugging “phone light in the air moments”.

Amy’s Night Thinker EP followed unique narratives of infatuation, self-love and the tricky balance between confusion and hope – it makes for a totally emotional listening experience. If you adored (pun intended) that about the EP, she described Love Monster as being “ten times bigger and better”.

“There’s a lot of love and demises and tales. It’s like my diary has opened up to another 13 more songs”, says Shark about the album. The album is set for a July 13th release and will be making her way to Splendour In The Grass right off the back of it.

To further prove that Amy is slowly but surely taking over the world, last week Dashboard Confessional covered her smash hit ‘Adore’, giving it a distinctly 2000’s emo twist – it’s incredible.
