EVERYONE STAY CALM, IT’S HAPPENING. After a bleak four years without any new Thirty Seconds To Mars music, the band have finally blessed us with their powerful new single, ‘Walk on Water’- the first taste from their upcoming fifth studio album.

“WALK ON WATER is a song for all of us. It’s a song about freedom, about persistence, about change and about fighting for what you believe in. It is a call to arms but also full of all the optimism and hope that is such an integral part of the American Dream,” said Jared Leto

In usual Thirty Seconds To Mars fashion, the single was accompanied by a lyric video with footage crowdsourced from fans and the 30STM team across America, shot entirely on the Fourth of July:

The video was accompanied by this message in the YouTube description:

“Everything you are about to see we filmed on a single day in the United States of America. July 4th, 2017.

Over 10,000 people submitted footage of a single day including 92 of our professional crews. They filmed across the country in all fifty states plus Puerto Rico and D.C. and captured a portrait of this country that is absolutely beautiful, challenging and unforgettable.

A very small selection of that footage you see here. The rest will be part of a documentary film (directed by Jared Leto) that is a companion piece to our brand new album.

The album. The film. The tour.

Coming soon.”

(Which still gives us approximately ZERO INFORMATION about when we can expect the album, because that would be too easy and us fans need to suffer a bit more).

“Walk On Water” will have its world television debut in a can’t-miss performance on this year’s MTV VMAs on August 27, 2017, and for those lucky ducks over in America and Brazil, you may be able to catch Thirty Seconds To Mars live in the handful of shows they have announced for September:
