Earlier this morning Dallon Weekes announced his departure from Panic! At The Disco. The long time touring bassist and former member released a heartfelt message to fans on Instagram – Which you can read below.

“For the last eight years I’ve had the incredible opportunity to perform in Panic! At The Disco. While I’m sad to announce that my time with Panic! has come to an end, I’m excited to continue making music with my new project ‘I Don’t Know How But They Found Me’. I’m grateful for the chance I’ve had to be part of Panic! At The Disco for nearly a decade. I will always consider myself indebted to those who made me feel welcome to be a part of P!ATD. You changed my life. Thank you all.

Weekes became a touring member of Panic! in 2009, and contributed to the bands fourth studio album Too Weird Too Live, Too Rare To Die!. In 2016 he started I Don’t Know How But They Found Me with ex-falling in reverse drummer Ryan Seaman. We were lucky enough to catch IDKHBTFM earlier this year and although we’re all very heartbroken over Dallon’s departure from Panic! we can not wait to see how this project unfolds.

It’s an end of an era! But we’ll continue to speculate over whether or not the mysterious, tall figure in the background of the Vices & Virtues album cover is Dallon.
