Global K-pop stars BTS have announced their new album will be released in November 2020 with the title BE.

It will be the second album from the record-breaking boy band in 2020 after they released Map of the Soul: 7 back in February.

BE (Deluxe Edition) will drop worldwide at midnight EST on Friday, November 20, and will be printed in limited quantities for first-run print-only stocks.

Announcing the new album on Twitter, BTS said the new record would focus on the theme of healing in difficult times for the world.

“The new album imparts a message of healing to the world by declaring, ‘Even in the face of this new normality, our life goes on’,” reads a statement.

BTS were also apparently more involved in the process of the album, as well as just creating the music.

“For this album in particular, the septet took a step further and was involved not only in the music making process, but also in the overall production: concept, composition, design, etc.

“This new project offers an even richer musical spectrum experience as well as the most ‘BTS-ish’ music yet.”

The band are continuing to push their music across geographical boundaries, releasing their first English-language track ‘Dynamite’ last month.

The track was so popular that it broke YouTube’s record for the most views on a video in its first 24 hours, with a confirmed view count of 101.1 million in that short space of time.

Following that, BTS became the first K-pop group to top the US singles chart when ‘Dynamite’ went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

BTS recently revealed that they had planned on spending most of 2020 touring, but with the coronavirus pandemic hitting, they decided to work on a new album instead.

“We’re working out, watching Netflix and learning to play instruments. I think we’re doing a lot of self-development, and also just trying to stay active,” J-Hope said.

“We’re working on a new album. Although we cannot say for sure how concerts are going to go, we’re still working very hard. Personally, I don’t think I’m doing a lot of things myself,” Jimin added.
