Billie Eilish has spoken her truth in the latest Calvin Klein campaign, delving into the reason behind her signature baggy clothes. The brand’s latest campaign“I Speak My Truth In #MyCalvins,” which also features Shawn Mendes and Noah Centino, has explored Billie’s radical relationship with fashion.

Billie has used her campaign video to explain that she uses fashion as a form of protection. “I never want the world to know everything about me,” she says in the video. “That’s why I wear big, baggy clothes. Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath.”

Explaining that if she wore clothing that revealed her figure, people would feel entitled to comment on the way her body looks.  “Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath. Nobody can be like, ‘she’s slim-thick,’ ‘she’s not slim-thick,’ ‘she’s got a flat ass,’ ‘she’s got a fat ass.’” Watch the campaign video below.
