If you’ve been loving Ariana Grande’s Sweetener, then you can easily see how emotional and immersive her live performances can be. However, one recent show proved too emotional for one fan, whose request for Ariana to restart a song because they weren’t filming it was actually granted.
As NME notes, Ariana Grande hit up the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on Saturday for a ‘hangout’ where she showcased songs from her new album to an intimate and eager crowd.
However, after 15 tracks, it appears that emotions were running high and beginning to take a toll on fans’ ability to keep track of their filming habits.
Taking to Twitter, one user shared a video of their experience of the show’s final song, ‘Raindrops (An Angel Cried)’.

“I said ‘Wait I wasn’t ready, start again’, and Ariana fucking heard me and started again,” explained Twitter user @urge4sergee.
Their footage from the show indeed showed Ariana pausing after starting the song to honour the fan’s request.
“Wait, did you just say “Start again I wasn’t recording?” Ariana asked the fan. “Ok, are you ready?”, she asked again, before starting the song over.
Needless to say, there probably aren’t too many artists out there who would be willing to honour such a request at their shows. Props to Ariana for being an absolute champion!
