2018 has proven once again how much Australians love our fave boys in 5 Seconds Of Summer. They conquered the 2018 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart with their hit single Youngblood. This makes 5 Seconds Of Summer the first Australian Act to top the chart since 2005 when Anthony Callea took the top spot with ‘The Prayer’.
Youngblood confirmed 5 Second Of Summer’s much deserved global stardom, finishing the year with the #1 position on the 2018 ARIA End Of Year Singles Chart with a 7x Platinum certification.
What’s more, Youngblood spent eight consecutive weeks at #1 over the course of the year.
At the 2018 ARIA Awards, Youngblood scored Apple Music Song Of The Year, and the band also went home with the Best Group trophy alongside Best Australian Live Act.

In response to their achievement, 5SOS said: “We’ve always said to be recognised in our home country is more special than anything. To have the number one song of 2018 is a very proud moment for this band. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and thank you Australia!”
We had no doubt that the fellas would slay 2018, now they just need to hurry up and drop more bangers for us to play on repeat!
