Never Shout Never know how to treat their fans right. Not two years after last hitting up Aussie shores, the group have announced they’re heading back to our fine country for a Throwback Tour, and we couldn’t be more psyched.
Originally formed as the solo project for a 16-year-old Christofer Drew back in 2007, Never Shout Never quickly became a full band that impressed literally everyone who heard them. Now, to celebrate their tenth anniversary, Never Shout Never is coming back to Australia to dust off those early tracks that got them noticed.
Coming to Australia for the Throwback Tour, Never Shout Never are set to play the The Yippee EP and the Me & My Uke EP in full. “But wait, that’s only seven songs!” We hear you, and so do the band, because they’re also going to be taking fan requests as well, proving that these gigs are going to be helped along by an awful lot of fan involvement.
Christofer Drew is pretty excited about the upcoming tour as well, saying “This Throwback Tour has allowed us to rediscover songs we haven’t played in forever and see what those songs mean to us now after everything that we’ve been through, because we’ve been through a lot as a band and a lot as people.”
Kicking off in Perth on November 30th, Never Shout Never will hit up Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Sydney, on a whirlwind trip that might just be the very last chance you get to hear the material that made Never Shout Never the band it is today.
